So for the 4K footage exporting to 1920x1080 do I need to follow the settings you mentioned here? I think that's what you are saying perhaps messed things up-plus not having the correct settings on the timeline sequence settings when I imported the files to start with.Īs you can see I have some really wonky settings for my timeline sequence here. Does this show all that I need to see? Still learning how to film and understand the terms correctly.įor the timeline sequence, I was importing the 4k clips to a 1920X1080 setting and then resizing the clips from 50% on up on the timeline because I was exporting to HD High Quality and thought it was still ok to do that up to 100%. When I click on "get info" on my Mac on the clip I get the following image (see screenshot above). The issue is not the setting you use when exporting, the issue is the settings and workflow you used when you started the project. Then you have to manually reset the properties for the clips on the timeline that you have adjusted Prosition and Scale to get back on track. (See image below) Make sure that the Sequence Settings match the settings of the source footage. So make sure to know your source footage, right click on it and choose Properties. When using footage X on a timeline with Y setting and export with a X or Z setting you will have problems and the export will look bad. If the footage is 1920x1080, 29.97, Upper Field First, the Sequence Settings should be 1920x1080, 29.97, Upper Field First and the export should be 1920x1080, 29.97, Upper Field First or 1920x1080, 29.97, Progressive if it is intended for the web. This results in sections of video missing in export. Then you have changed the sequence settings to 1920x1080 but still keeps all other settings, iow Pixel Aspect Ratio to DV NTSC (0.9091), Lower Field First while it should have a Pixel Aspect Ratio of 1.0 and either Progressive or Upper Field First. This is what has gone wrong from start, you have editied on a DV 720x480, interlaced, Lower Field First timeline and probably placed 1920x1080 footage on it and use the Position/Scale to "move" the footage to the intended place in the video frame. To start with, take a look at the properties for the footage and make sure that it matches the sequence settings.

529 plan to another beneficiary who will use the funds for qualified education. In 2017, K12 public, private, and religious school tuition costs were included as qualified expenses for 529 plans along with post-secondary education costs. All Plan assets are held in trust with the New Hampshire State Treasurer serving as Trustee pursuant to RSA 195-H:4,IV. will report their 2016 income information, rather than their 2017 income. 1 So what items qualify Expenses that Qualify. The primary difference between the two Plans is that the Fidelity Advisor 529 Plan is marketed to the clients of non-Fidelity financial advisors that do not administer their own proprietary plan, while the UNIQUE Plan is offered directly to Fidelity retail investors. However, expenses must be ‘qualified’ (aka deemed necessary) to the enrollment of the student at an eligible education institution to receive these tax benefits. The Tuition and Fees Deduction expired at the end of 2016 but was renewed for the 2017 tax year with the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018. The State of New Hampshire offers two 529 College Savings Plans, the UNIQUE College Investing Plan and the Fidelity Advisor 529 Plan, which are contractually administered, by Fidelity Investments with fiduciary oversight provided by the College Tuition Savings Plan Advisory Commission. The Tuition and Fees Deduction allows eligible taxpayers to deduct up to 4,000 from taxable income to help cover higher education costs for themselves, a spouse and dependent children. These plans are established in Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code and require state sponsorship in order for participants to be eligible for federal income tax benefits. 529 Plans are offered by individual states, but you are not required to be a resident of a particular state to invest in that state's plan. There’s always been the sense that manual drivers are a bit proud of their choice of transmission, saying it offers better control, a better drive etc. Should I buy a manual car?įor now, you’re pretty safe to do so. Until electric cars have become a truly accessible and convenient option for everyone, people are unlikely to give up on manuals. Home charging for electric cars also requires private off-street parking which might make it an impossible option for people in inner-city flats. For now, petrol and diesel cars are likely to stick around simply because they are the easier choice. However, electric car charge points still aren’t as numerous as they need to be in order to support the all-electric switch. And that number is due to rise significantly by 2035. There are currently 8,380 petrol stations in the UK, but Britain’s electric car charging points already outstrip them at 25,000. So, while you may have happily kept your car, you might not be able to keep it running. If the nation goes electric, petrol stations will soon start to disappear. Other things to consider are the practical issues of owning a car no one else seems to be driving. So, you can expect to need to eventually pay a premium on this, as well as insurance. Servicing an electric car is notably easier than with a petrol or diesel car. But if you’re looking to buy a BMW rather than a Ford Fiesta, you might have to accept an automatic-only drive on your chosen model.Īs the UK goes electric, costs may also increase as manual cars become more of a rarity. Manual cars may still be available in more affordable brands, simply due to being cheaper to manufacture. With automatic transmission being the preferred choice - 2020 marked the first time ever they outsold manual - many brands are getting ahead of curve by doing away with manual altogether. Add to that the ease of use and learning that comes with an automatic, and in practical terms, new and old drivers alike might welcome the change.Įven if you did want to buy a new manual car while you still can, brands are also making it more difficult. Manual cars are already in decline as electric cars build in popularity, so it may well be that we’ve done away with our manual-buying habits long before the ban comes into place. So, manual cars aren’t going to instantly disappear, but they’re definitely on track to becoming a relic of the past. Those that are already on the road can continue to be driven. The ban will only restrict the sale of petrol and diesel cars, though. That, by default, rules out manual cars, as all electric cars are automatic. There’s no set ban on manual transmission itself, but there is a ban coming into place in 2035 on all petrol and diesel cars. By 2035, we essentially won’t be allowed to buy manual cars at all. Nowadays, there’s an even more pressing issue driving the debate. Years ago, that argument might have centred around the ease of automatic cars and how countries like Australia, Japan, and America have mostly done away with manual options. There’s long been debate surrounding the value of manual cars. SOEMO MOOSE NAGTI GIANT TPIOEP POTPIE TCLUEN LUCENT Cartoon Jumble Answer. Paint thickness gauges for dry film thickness can either be a non-destructive measurement or destructive measurement. Wet film gages can be used on virtually every substrate. They cover a wide wet film thickness range from industrial maintenance applications to thin coil coatings. A wet film thickness gage is an inexpensive, easy to use device. Wet film thickness should be monitored frequently to maintain an efficient coating process. Measuring the film thickness immediately after coating the surface is important to control the spreading rate and the final dry film thickness. Coating thickness measurement will monitor the paint process and maintain the appropriate coating properties. Applying too much coating can also be detrimental that can lead to excessive drying time, cracking, and flaking of the paint film. The proper film thickness has an impact on the paint opacity, appearance, and protective properties of the coating. Paint thickness is an essential parameter that needs to be measured routinely. Step 9: Handle your cactus with care and keep it away from children and pets.Īlthough it isn't toxic, the sharp spines will still hurt to touch! Wear gloves to protect your hands. Step 8: Avoid exposing your spiral cactus to temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit or rapidly fluctuating temperatures.ĭrafty windows and air vents can weaken or even kill your cactus over time. Step 7: Feed your spiral cactus with a balanced fertilizer twice a month during the spring and summer months. If you notice these, move your plant to a shadier location. These are a sign of too much direct light. Step 5: Watch for pale spots on young cacti. Young plants are more sensitive to light, and cacti are no exception! They should get at least 4 hours of sun a day, but avoid leaving them in full sun. Step 4: Keep young spiral cacti in mixed sun and shade. If you see water pooling in the tray, dry it with a towel to avoid letting the cactus sit in water. Watering your cactus while it's still in the tray can lead to improper drainage. Step 3: Remove the cactus from it's tray when watering, to allow the excess water to drain properly. If you’re lucky enough to experience these blooms, you can pollinate them to produce a large, non-poisonous purple fruit. They are heavy bloomers, and the flowers they produce are show-stoppingly beautiful. The plant has a blueish-green color and feels waxy to the touch. Contrary to what people believe, not all cacti are slow growers the spiral cactus is one of the fastest-growing cacti, so you’ll be rewarded quickly for giving this plant the proper care and attention. When full-grown, the spiral cactus can reach heights of 6 to 13 feet tall and be 4 to 5 inches in diameter. Now it’s becoming more popular, but it’s still more challenging to find than other, less rare cacti. The spiral cactus, or Cereus forbesii, is native to Peru and for a long time was so rare that only wealthy plant enthusiasts who could afford to fund biologists had the pleasure of owning this unique and beautiful plant. It is characterized by an overwhelming amount of water that submerges land, homes, and other infrastructure. Define DelugeĪ deluge refers to a severe flood, typically caused by heavy rain. In this article, we’ll explore the differences between “deluge” and “shower” in more detail, and examine some of the various contexts in which they might be used. So, while both words can be used to describe heavy rainfall, “deluge” carries a more powerful and dramatic connotation, while “shower” is a more casual and everyday term. On the other hand, “shower” is defined as “a fall of rain”, “a brief fall of precipitation”, or “a bath in which water is sprayed on the body”. However, “deluge” typically refers to a more intense and overwhelming downpour, while “shower” suggests a lighter and more intermittent rain.Īccording to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, “deluge” means “an overflowing of the land by water”, “a drenching rain”, or “an overwhelming amount or number”. It’s important to note that both “deluge” and “shower” are acceptable words to describe a heavy rain. However, these two words have distinct meanings and connotations that set them apart from each other. When it comes to describing a heavy rain, two words that are often used interchangeably are “deluge” and “shower”.
